Ducato

The Fiat Ducato was launched in 1981 and is still produced in Atessa, Italy, alongside its technically identical siblings, the Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper. This makes it one of the most widespread van platforms in Europe – among other things, it is the most popular base for motorhomes, which speaks to the exceptional versatility of its body.

For building a crew transport vehicle, the Ducato's greatest strength is its interior space. It offers the widest body in its class, a low loading sill and great variability of lengths and heights, so it comfortably accommodates a crew of 8+1 along with bulky equipment. Front-wheel drive with the engine above the driven axle ensures good traction, and the favourable purchase price leaves room in the same budget for richer vehicle equipment.

  • The largest interior space in its class – the widest body among vans.
  • Low loading sill – easy boarding and loading of equipment.
  • Great body variability – many combinations of lengths and heights.
  • Favourable purchase price – budget left over for a better-equipped conversion.
  • Good traction thanks to front-wheel drive with the engine above the driven axle.
  • A proven platform in production for over 40 years and continuously modernised.
  • Low floor and easy movement around the cab – comfort for the whole crew.
